Hey there! I am a Graduate researcher at SUNY Stony Brook University, specializing in Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning and Machine Learning. I am pursuing my Master's thesis under Prof. Niranjan Balasubramanian and Prof. Nate Chambers, in the field of Common sense reasoning in stories. As part of my graduate research, I am working on extracting common sense knowledge encapsulated in motivations of events and the resulting reactions. I love to learn and implement new architectures in NLP and read about the latest research in the field. I am also very interested in Representation Learning in NLP, Dialogue Systems, build NLP enabled systems at the intersection of social science, social media and machine learning and Recommender Systems.

I recently completed an internship as an Applied Scientist intern in the Smart Reply team at Microsoft. Prior to grad school, I was a Data Scientist at Fractal Analytics and a Research Assistant at TU Darmstadt.

Other than my work, I am very passionate about traveling, art and photography. In my free time, I also love to pursue online courses, try new cooking recipes, workout and read technical blogs. I am always looking to learn new skills to grow personally and professionally.
